If you’ve been mesmerized by the beautiful blue waters that surround the island and you want to see it for yourself, we’re happy to help you in this quest.

How do you plan a trip to Capri Island?

As you may know, Capri is an island off the coast of the Sorrentine peninsula. From Sorrento by boat it will only take you 20 to 30 minutes to reach, if you want to go straight for the mainland. If you’d rather also enjoy the view by the sea, the famous Faraglioni and the Blue Grotto, the ride will last more as it will allow you to admire all the natural beauties of the island.

Iamme Ia! organizes trips to Capri regularly both in the private and group tour formula so if you need a simple way to enjoy your vacation, here is one of our most beloved tour.

You may be wandering … what is actually there to see in Capri aside from the luxury hit spots and the sea? You can’t even imagine it. You’ll have to see it with your own eyes to believe how beautiful this place is.

But in the meantime we’ll do our best to summarize what you can actually do in Capri.

What is there to see in Capri?

A small gem located in the Tyrrhenian Sea, it has a lot to offer in terms of natural beauty and historical sites, as well as its luxurious vibe.

Why is Capri worth the hype?

Well compared to other stunning islands (even the nearby Ischia and Procida), Capri has a truly unique aura that only those who’ve seen it can explain.

Starting from the raw beauty of its sea and rocks to the mainland itself, everything is a treat for the eyes.

What can you see along the Capri coast?

The first thing that will have popped into your mind would probably be the Blue Grotto. Yes, we know, it’s an unbelievable sight and those posts you see on Instagram can’t even compare to the real thing.

The Blue Grotto (in Italian “Grotta Azzurra”) is a sea cave that, thanks to some natural light tricks coming from an underwater cavity, shows a marvelous shade of blue. It’s possible to visit the Blue Grotto by smaller rowboats to experience the cave in total safety and in touch with nature.

Not to forget are the Faraglioni Rocks, the iconic rock formations you might have seen in movies, advertisements and so on. They’re truly the symbol of Capri and they are seen visibly from various standpoints. It’s a delight to go across the rocks by boat and witness the greatness of the Earth and the Sea.

If you’re looking for a place to swim (after all the water is truly “mouthwatering”) there’s Marina Piccola for you: a picturesque bay with a crystal-clear sea and colorful houses, perfect for beach activities such as swimming, sunbathing and just plain relaxation. If you’re feeling sporty, you can also engage in snorkeling, diving and kayaking

What do you do in the city of Capri?

The city center of Capri is everything you look for if you’re a lover of shopping, especially luxury shopping. But do not be mistaken: Capri is not only a city for the richest! Everyone can enjoy a day between the typical streets, maybe in a cafe with a sea-view right in the heart of the town.

If you’re in the mood, on the top of Capri there’s also Anacapri: another picturesque town with many sites and attractions such as Villa San Michele. The Church located there is famous for its intricate majolica tile floor depicting the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden.

Then you’re ready to go to Monte Solaro, the highest point on the island. Who goes up there truly wins the best view the island can offer. If you’re up for an adventure you can go hiking while, if you’d rather take it easier, there’s a chairlift right from Anacapri.

Finally, you can’t miss the “Giardini di Augusto” (Augustus Gardens). From there, you get an incredible p.o.v of the Faraglioni and the whole coastline. Here you can take some moments of leisure while strolling around and enjoying the scenery.
